XLRI Students Win at Global Competition at 3M’s ‘Invent a New Future Challenge (INF) 2016’

Students of XLRI – Xavier School of Management, Jagruti Vojjala and Anunay Arora have won theInternational INF Challenge organized by Global Innovation Company – 3M. The global competition was held at 3M Headquarters in St. Paul, Minnesota, USA in July, 2016.

The XLRI Student team was adjudged winner among competing B-School students from 13 other countries including Canada, Mexico, Brazil, China, Japan, Panama, Poland, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, United Arab Emirates and United States of America.

The winners Jagruti and Anunay have been offered six-month mentorship with a 3M senior leader and mentorship opportunity besides a vast international exposure. Both winners have also received a pre-placement offer from 3M India.

Travelport and OYO announce new Hotel Content Deal


Travelport (NYSE:TVPT) – a leading travel commerce platform – and OYO – India’s largest network of hotels– announced a new agreement whereby 6,000 hotel properties offered by OYO will be made available through Travelport’s Travel Commerce Platform to its travel agency users, both in India and around the world. OYO currently operates in more than 180 Indian cities, including Delhi, Jaipur, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Goa.

The agreement with OYO is the latest example of Travelport responding to the needs of its agents to add the hotel content they need in their local regions.  It also responds to the needs of hoteliers by giving them access to the international travel booking industry. Once on Travelport’s Travel Commerce Platform, travel agents globally have access to the hotel content through their normal workflow, eliminating time-consuming and inefficient bookings across different channels.

LenDenClub launches automated P2P lending platform adhering to proposed RBI guidelines

LenDenClub has launched its new version of P2P lending platform with features such as end–to-end automation of lender-borrower transaction cycle right from registration, document verification, credit analysis, transaction matching to report generation. An algorithmic based program, build based on artificial intelligence, will be used for reviewing borrower’s credit worthiness. For the company, the upgradation of P2P platform shall accomplish a major milestone and prepare them for payment and digital signature automation to bring 100% automation in lending process through right technology for borrower identification, data collection, digital signature usage, payment automation etc.

With this companyhas initiated first lag of its long term goal in creating a platform that can assess last mile borrowers, a features that currently unavailable even in majority banks & NBFCs. The highlight of the program is algorithmic model which is coded to identify borrower’s financial trend and allocate credit score based on the trend.
